About The Position

The Accounts Receivable Analyst supports daily operations in the Cash Application and Collections department. The position manages cash flow through daily reconciliation of lockbox payments and conducts daily collections activities in a high-volume, goal-oriented team. The role is a contract position based onsite in Cleveland, Ohio, Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables.
Experience in accounts receivable or accounts payable, data reconciliation, collections, cash application, accounting, or invoice processing.
Strong communication skills for phone interactions.
Willingness to cross-train in cash applications and collections.

Nice To Haves

Open to entry-level candidates or candidates with 1–2 years of accounts receivable experience.
Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments.
Distribution experience.
Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems.

Responsibilities

Continuously improve the collection process and the quality of service provided to customers.
Adopt business processes that promote automation and reduce complexity.
Collaborate with Field and Central teams to identify and resolve issues contributing to past-due invoices, and implement action plans to eliminate root causes.
Reduce bad-debt exposure by proactively reviewing outstanding balances and identifying risk accounts.
Manage assigned customer accounts to reduce past-due balances to or below targets for contractual accounts.
Investigate causes of non-payment and recommend improvements to Accounts Receivable, with a focus on reducing past-due balances and remittance issues.
Report results to department management and/or Shared Service customers.
Reconcile lockbox payments daily and conduct daily collections activities.
