The Regional Center of the East Bay (RCEB) is a community-based, private nonprofit corporation under contract with the California Department of Developmental Services. It provides intake, assessment, diagnosis, and coordination of community-based services for more than 25,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Under general direction, Case Managers manage the full case management process for assigned consumers, including assessment and evaluation, planning, authorizing services, advocacy, monitoring, and reviewing documentation. They facilitate development of an Individual Program Plan (IPP) or Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP), oversee its implementation, and monitor and evaluate the services provided. The role also involves coordinating supports and services, advocating for consumers’ rights and benefits, obtaining diagnostic and evaluation information, monitoring health and safety, and maintaining required records and contacts. The role is bilingual in Spanish. The posting lists two classifications: Case Manager I and Case Manager II. Case Manager I requires a bachelor’s degree and qualifying experience; Case Manager II requires a master’s degree. New hires without prior Regional Center work experience start at the beginning of the salary scale. The anticipated new hire date is Monday, January 4th; no year is specified.
