About The Position

Agate Housing and Services is hiring a Case Manager II - Eviction Prevention to provide specialized rent-related housing stabilization support to Minneapolis Public Housing Authority (MPHA) residents across its Housing Stability program. The position leads direct assistance with past-due rent, repayment agreements, and related financial barriers to continued tenancy. It coordinates with residents, MPHA property management, assigned Case Managers, and Program Managers to identify practical steps toward housing retention. The role supports staff in initiating and implementing housing loss prevention plans and maintains centralized tracking of plans across MPHA properties, including actions, deadlines, follow-up, and housing retention or transition outcomes. It also assists with failed inspection follow-up and voluntary mutual lease terminations when appropriate, including resident-centered transition planning and connections to alternative housing resources. Assigned Case Managers retain ongoing resident relationships; this position provides direct intervention in selected situations rather than taking over every housing loss prevention plan. The position works directly with residents at assigned MPHA properties and collaborates with MPHA staff, Agate colleagues, county agencies, healthcare providers, and community partners. It is an in-office position, with flexibility for occasional remote work or daily schedule adjustments as operational needs allow. Core working hours fall between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., with flexibility in start and end times. The role is full-time, non-exempt, and represented by AFSCME Union Local 999. Compensation is $26 per hour.
