About The Position
The Carwash/Gas Attendant provides customer and member service at the gas station and car wash, including explaining Sam’s Club membership types, programs, benefits, renewals, and credit card options. The role assists customers with purchasing decisions, merchandise location, and concerns while promoting products and services and maintaining a safe environment. The attendant cleans, organizes, and maintains the car wash and gas station areas, including merchandise and supplies, pricing signage, equipment, and required records. Duties also include receiving and stocking supplies, handling claims and returns, identifying shrink and damage, and operating cash registers and other area equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures. Associates are expected to demonstrate respect, integrity, customer service, teamwork, accountability, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The position is based at the Sam’s Club location at 12200 W 95th St, Lenexa, Kansas.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Explain membership types, programs, benefits, renewal options, and credit card programs and application processes to current and prospective members.
- Provide customer and member service by identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
- Maintain a safe shopping and work environment.
- Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and ensure pricing signage is accurate.
- Maintain the gas station and car wash area in accordance with company policies, including handling claims and returns, organizing merchandise and supplies, and identifying shrink and damage.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
- Use equipment appropriately and maintain required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
- Operate cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases using appropriate payment procedures.
- Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Build strong, trusting team relationships; communicate positively; and help develop and mentor others.
- Act with integrity, uphold ethics and compliance standards, and hold oneself and others accountable.
- Put customers and members first, make decisions using reliable information, and consider the effect of work on team results.
