About The Position

The Carwash/Gas Attendant supports Sam’s Club members and customers at the gas station and car wash. The role explains membership programs, benefits, renewals, and credit card options; assists customers with purchases and product or service questions; and helps maintain a safe, organized, and accurately signed area. The attendant receives, stocks, and organizes merchandise and supplies, follows company procedures for equipment use and documentation, processes purchases, and operates and maintains gas station and car wash equipment. The position also calls for teamwork, respectful and inclusive conduct, integrity, accountability, customer-focused decision-making, continuous improvement, and willingness to learn and support others. The role is located at the Sam’s Club at 3053 John Hawkins Pkwy, Hoover, Alabama.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

Explain membership types, programs, benefits, renewals, and credit card programs and application processes to current and prospective members.
Provide customer and member service by identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting products and services.
Maintain a safe shopping and work environment.
Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and ensure pricing signage is accurate.
Maintain the gas station and car wash area according to company policies and procedures, including handling claims and returns, zoning, organizing merchandise and supplies, identifying shrink and damage, and maintaining safety.
Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers; organize and maintain the facility according to company procedures.
Use equipment appropriately and complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
Operate cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Work collaboratively, build trusting relationships, communicate positively, and help develop and mentor others.
Maintain high standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance; act honestly, fairly, transparently, and accountably.
