About The Position

The Carwash/Gas Attendant supports the operation of the Sam’s Club gas station and car wash. The role provides customer and member service by explaining membership programs, benefits, and credit card application processes; assisting with purchases and merchandise; resolving customer concerns; and promoting products and services. The attendant maintains a clean, organized, accurately signed, and safe work area; handles merchandise, supplies, claims, returns, shrink, and damage according to company procedures; and operates cash registers and gas station or car wash equipment while following applicable policies and procedures.

The position is based at 800 Kemper Commons Cir, Springdale, Ohio. The hourly wage range is $16.00 to $24.00, with possible additional premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in qualifying circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Explain membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members to support account decisions, encourage membership renewals, explain credit card programs and application processes, and promote Sam’s Club products and services.
• Provide customer and member service by acknowledging customers and members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting products and services while maintaining a safe shopping environment.
• Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and ensure pricing signage is accurate.
• Maintain the gas station and car wash area in accordance with company policies and procedures, including handling claims and returns, zoning the area, organizing merchandise and supplies, identifying shrink and damage, and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers; organize and maintain the facility according to company procedures; use equipment appropriately; and complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
• Operate cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
• Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services to customers in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Build trusting team relationships, communicate positively and effectively, and help develop and mentor others.
• Act with integrity, maintain ethical and compliance standards, and be accountable for own work and actions.
