About The Position

The Carwash/Gas Attendant serves Sam’s Club members and customers at the gas station and car wash. The role explains membership programs and benefits, supports purchasing decisions, helps resolve customer concerns, and promotes products and services. It maintains a clean, organized, accurately signed, and safe work area; handles merchandise and supplies; follows company procedures for claims, returns, zoning, and shrink; and operates cash registers and gas station or car wash equipment. The position also requires demonstrating company values by working collaboratively, treating people with respect, acting with integrity, serving customers and members, and seeking continuous improvement.

The hourly wage range is $16.00 to $24.00. Additional premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour may apply in specific circumstances. The actual hourly rate will meet or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the job location.

Responsibilities

• Explain membership types, programs, and benefits to current and prospective members; assist with account decisions, membership upgrades and renewals, and credit card applications; and promote Sam’s Club products and services.
• Acknowledge customers and members, identify their needs, assist with purchasing decisions and locating merchandise, resolve issues and concerns, and promote products and services while maintaining a safe shopping environment.
• Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and maintain accurate pricing and signage.
• Maintain the gas station and car wash area in accordance with company policies and procedures, including handling claims and returns, zoning, organizing merchandise and supplies, identifying shrink and damage, and ensuring a safe work environment.
• Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers; organize and maintain the facility according to company procedures; use equipment appropriately; and complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
• Operate cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases according to procedures for different payment types and items sold.
• Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
