(USA) Carwash/Gas Attendant
About The Position
The Carwash/Gas Attendant supports Sam’s Club members and customers at the car wash and gas station. The role explains membership options, programs, benefits, renewals, and credit card application processes, and helps customers make purchasing decisions, find merchandise, and resolve concerns. The attendant cleans and organizes the area, maintains accurate pricing and signage, handles merchandise and supplies, and follows company procedures for claims, returns, safety, and documentation. The role also receives and stocks supplies, operates cash registers and related equipment, and operates and maintains gas station and car wash equipment while providing products and services in accordance with company policies. Associates are expected to respect individual differences, build trusting team relationships, communicate positively, help develop and recognize coworkers, act with integrity, serve members, make informed decisions, and pursue continuous improvement and learning. The position is located at 6614 Gulf Freeway, La Marque, Texas.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Explain membership types, programs, benefits, renewals, and credit card programs and application processes to current and prospective members.
- Provide customer and member service by identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
- Maintain a safe shopping and working environment.
- Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and ensure pricing signage is accurate.
- Maintain the area according to company policies and procedures, including handling claims and returns, zoning, organizing merchandise and supplies, and identifying shrink and damages.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
- Maintain facility organization and complete and retain required paperwork, logs, and other documentation.
- Operate cash registers and related tools to process purchases using appropriate procedures for payment types and items sold.
- Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively, communicate effectively, and help develop and mentor other associates.
- Act with integrity and accountability, serve customers and members, and support continuous improvement and change.
