About The Position

The Carwash/Gas Attendant supports Sam’s Club members and prospective members by explaining membership programs, benefits, renewal options, and credit card application processes, and by promoting Sam’s Club products and services. The role provides customer service, assists with purchasing decisions, locates merchandise, and addresses member questions and concerns while maintaining a safe shopping environment. The attendant cleans and organizes the car wash and gas station area, maintains accurate pricing and signage, handles claims and returns, organizes merchandise and supplies, and identifies shrink or damage. The position also receives and stocks merchandise and supplies, maintains required paperwork and logs, and operates cash registers and related equipment to process purchases. The attendant operates and maintains gas station and car wash equipment in accordance with company policies and procedures. Associates are expected to demonstrate Sam’s Club and Walmart values by respecting individual differences, working collaboratively, acting with integrity, serving customers and members, and striving for excellence through learning and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Explain membership types, programs, benefits, renewal options, and credit card programs and application processes to current and prospective members.
Promote the value of Sam’s Club products and services.
Acknowledge customers and members, identify their needs, assist with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and resolve issues and concerns.
Maintain a safe shopping and work environment.
Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and ensure pricing signage is accurate.
Maintain the gas station and car wash area according to company policies and procedures, including handling claims and returns, arranging merchandise and supplies, identifying shrink and damage, and keeping the area safe.
Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
Organize and maintain the facility by following company procedures, using equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing and retaining required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
Operate cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases using the appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
