About The Position
The Carwash/Gas Attendant operates and maintains the gas station and car wash area and provides products and services to Sam's Club customers in accordance with company policies and procedures. The role includes communicating membership programs and benefits, assisting customers with purchasing decisions and concerns, maintaining a clean, organized, accurately signed, and safe work area, stocking merchandise and supplies, and processing purchases using cash registers and related tools. The position also reflects Sam's Club's values by respecting individuals, acting with integrity, serving customers and members, and striving for excellence. Associates are expected to collaborate and build relationships, support team development, remain accountable, learn and adapt, and pursue continuous improvement.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Responsibilities
- Explain membership types, programs, benefits, renewal options, credit card programs, and application processes to current and prospective members.
- Provide customer and member service by acknowledging customers, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
- Maintain a safe shopping environment.
- Clean and organize the car wash and gas station area and ensure pricing signage is accurate.
- Maintain the gas station and car wash area according to company policies and procedures, including handling claims and returns, zoning, organizing merchandise and supplies, identifying shrink and damages, and ensuring a safe work environment.
- Receive and stock merchandise and supplies from distribution centers and suppliers.
- Organize and maintain the facility by following company procedures, using equipment appropriately, merchandising, and completing and retaining required paperwork, logs, and documentation.
- Operate cash registers and related tools to process customer purchases using appropriate procedures for different payment types and items sold.
- Operate and maintain gas station and car wash equipment and provide products and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Build strong team relationships, communicate positively, and help develop and mentor others.
- Maintain integrity, ethics, and compliance, model company values, and hold oneself and others accountable.
- Make decisions using reliable information, balance short- and long-term priorities, and consider how one's work affects the team's results.

- Hourly wage range of $17.00 to $25.00, with possible additional premiums of $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
