About The Position

Festival Foods is hiring a part-time Cart Runner at its La Crosse, Wisconsin location. Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the Cart Runner supports an exceptional guest experience by collecting carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas, providing parcel pickup, and helping maintain a welcoming and safe environment in all weather conditions. The role involves friendly, professional communication with guests and associates, maintaining Guest Services standards, sharing guest requests with management, and proactively addressing concerns. The associate is expected to attend work regularly and on time, follow the work schedule, and provide adequate notice when finding a replacement for occasional absences. The schedule may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Ability to communicate effectively with associates and customers.
Ability to read, count, and write accurately.
Ability to operate all necessary equipment to perform the job efficiently.
Ability to bag efficiently while maintaining product integrity.
Ability to stand in place for long periods, walk in the store, bend, stoop, and regularly lift or push up to 50 pounds.
Fine-finger and broad manual dexterity, with eye-hand-foot coordination to operate equipment.
Ability to work varied hours and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed, in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, professional service by greeting guests, answering questions, addressing concerns, and helping with their needs.
Communicate effectively and cooperatively with guests and associates.
Maintain Guest Services expectations and standards.
Collect shopping carts from the parking lot and surrounding areas and return them to the store in all weather conditions.
Provide prompt parcel pickup service.
Share guest requests with management and proactively resolve issues as they arise.
Support customer service initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
Attend work regularly and on time in compliance with the work schedule, and provide adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.
