About The Position

As an entry-level team member on Meijer’s Courtesy Team, the Cart Collector supports retail services and provides customer service. The role involves retrieving shopping carts from outside the store and returning them to the store interior, maintaining cleanliness, handling returns, and supporting several store areas and departments. The job profile is not all-inclusive; other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

• Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Have strong listening and communication skills.
• Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using various equipment.
• Be able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
• Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
• Work with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
