About The Position

As an entry-level Meijer Courtesy Team Member, the Cart Collector supports store services, products, and customer service while interacting with customers and providing above-and-beyond service. The role includes returning shopping carts to the store, maintaining cleanliness inside and outside the store, assisting with snow removal, handling perishable and salvage returns, and working with various store areas and departments. Other duties may be assigned or required.

Requirements

• Be highly organized and have a keen sense for details.
• Have strong listening and communication skills.
• Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
• Be able to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
• Safely use snow removal equipment to remove snow.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Work with the service desk, store entrance, check lanes, and parking lot areas.
• Work with Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
