About The Position
As an entry-level team member on Meijer’s Courtesy Team, the Cart Collector supports store services, products, and customer service. The role involves interacting with customers and providing above-and-beyond service while helping maintain the store, its entrance, and parking areas. Other duties may be assigned or required.
Requirements
- Be highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Have strong listening and communication skills.
- Be able to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling products or using equipment.
- Be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
- Coordinate and collect trash from the parking lot, lawn, and inside the store.
- Safely use snow-removal equipment to remove snow.
- Handle perishable and salvage returns.
- Perform basic store and restroom cleaning.
- Work with the service desk, store entrance, checkout lanes, and parking lot areas.
- Work with the Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal, and Floral departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned or required.
