About The Position

The Carry Out Attendant supports guests ordering takeout and helps maintain an efficient, welcoming restaurant experience. The role involves taking and entering orders, packaging food and beverages accurately, processing payments, answering calls, maintaining clean and stocked work areas, and following food safety and company standards. Attendants may also assist with dine-in service and other tasks as needed. The position offers pay of up to $15.00 per hour, depending on restaurant concept experience, and promotes early closing, work-life balance, flexible scheduling, and career growth.

Requirements

0–2 years of related experience.
Strong knowledge of commonly used restaurant concepts, practices, and procedures.
Ability to identify and resolve issues as they arise.
Detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask.
Ability to prioritize and strong organizational skills.
Dependability and exceptional teamwork skills.
Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.
Ability to stand for an entire shift and walk for long periods without rest or sitting.

Ability to freely access all areas of the restaurant, including selling floors, stock areas, and register areas.

Responsibilities

Greet guests in a friendly, warm, and welcoming manner.
Use menu knowledge and situational selling techniques when placing carryout orders.
Package food, beverages, condiments, and other appropriate items promptly and accurately.
Ensure orders are properly prepared and timely according to company standards.
Communicate professionally with guests to understand their needs and help them select menu items.
Wear a headset to communicate with managers and teammates and help expedite the guest experience.
Handle cash and credit transactions, accurately accounting for cash, credit cards, coupons, and gift cards.
Follow safe food and beverage handling practices and clean up as needed.
Keep the carryout area and general work area clean, free of debris, and stocked.
Safely handle food preparation equipment such as beverage machines and salad cases.
Monitor the cleanliness, organization, and stock levels of bakery and retail areas.
Handle guest complaints effectively and involve a manager at the appropriate time.
Answer phone calls in a friendly and timely manner using the company script for the meal period.
Accurately enter carryout orders into the computer system.
Assist with expediting and delivering meals to dine-in guests.
Assist with greeting guests and escorting them to tables.
Assist with cashing out guests when the cashier is unavailable.
Assist with pre-bussing tables, rolling silverware, and other needed tasks.
Assist in other job categories when asked.
Perform other duties as assigned.
