About The Position

The Carpenter repairs furniture, doors, windows, slot machine stands, gaming tables, and cabinetry. The role also fabricates and installs building components and performs preventive maintenance. Work may be performed in restricted casino areas, where a security escort is required.

Requirements

• Must be physically strong.
• Must have knowledge of building codes.
• Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working.
• Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, climb ladders, and work on man-lift-type equipment.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
• Must be able to read and understand architectural plans and specifications.

• Previous casino maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Repair furniture, doors, windows, slot machine stands, gaming tables, and cabinetry.
• Fabricate office partitions, doors, cornices, counters, panel walls, and ceilings.
• Use blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to determine dimensions and finish specifications.
• Maintain a preventive maintenance program.
• Determine work methods and sequence, as well as the raw stock and hardware needed to complete assignments.
• Prepare working sketches of partitions, walls, fixtures, and frames when needed.
• Maintain inventory of parts and materials.
• Obtain a security escort when performing job functions in restricted casino areas.
• Perform other assigned duties and represent Caesars positively.
