About The Position

NOW Courier, a leader in logistics, is seeking enthusiastic and professional Contract Delivery Drivers with cargo vans or sprinter vans to join their fleet. This role involves covering various open routes, breakdowns, and overflow assignments across the region. Drivers will have the flexibility to manage their own schedules while providing excellent customer service. New drivers will receive expert guidance. The role requires picking up and delivering cargo on time, using GPS for navigation, communicating effectively with customers and dispatchers, adhering to traffic laws and safety procedures, and providing excellent customer service. Drivers must also be able to handle unexpected issues like traffic or incorrect addresses.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a vehicle that is a 2014 model year or newer, suitable for delivery, in good working condition, rust-free, and capable of passing a multi-point inspection.
• Possess a smartphone capable of running the driver app.
• Hold a valid driver's license.
• Have commercial insurance coverage with a minimum of $300,000 combined single limit liability.
• Successfully pass a comprehensive pre-employment process including a driving history review (past 36 months), criminal background check, and substance abuse screening.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver cargo to customers on time.
• Use GPS and mapping software to determine and follow efficient routes.
• Maintain clear communication with customers and dispatchers, providing real-time updates and addressing issues.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, secure cargo properly, and use appropriate safety gear.
• Provide excellent customer service, handle questions, resolve complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Quickly think and act when faced with unexpected hurdles like traffic snags or incorrect addresses.
