About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring owner-operators with Sprinter vans or cargo vans to work under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, personalized load selection based on driver preferences, and competitive rates that can be negotiated with dispatchers. Dispatchers have more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates listed are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for Sprinters on long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile for Sprinters in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated workdays are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers; applicants are applying as owner-operators.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or cargo van.
• Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
• The owner-operator and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
• Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER to accept loads.
• Sprinter vehicles must be no older than 2016.
• All vehicles must have a minimum of four straps and PPE, and all decals must be removed.
• Provide the vehicle’s registration and insurance.
• Have at least six months of driving experience.

Nice To Haves

• Russian language ability is welcomed; the company also hires Russian speakers.
• A Hazmat certificate and TSA/TWIC credentials may affect potential monthly earnings.

Responsibilities

• Operate an owner-owned Sprinter or cargo van to accept and complete loads offered by the company.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance documentation.
• Inform the company before putting the vehicle on the road if making changes to the vehicle.
• Ensure all drivers are approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
• Use at least four straps and PPE in the vehicle and remove all decals.
