About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring owner-operators with a Sprinter or cargo van under a written independent contractor agreement. The company does not hire company drivers. Owner-operators can negotiate rates with dispatchers and may receive personalized load offers based on their preferences. The company reports a large number of loads and dispatchers with at least four years of experience and broker contacts.

Listed Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated workdays are Monday through Friday. Minimum average monthly earnings are described as $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and Hazmat certificate and TSA/TWIC credentials.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or cargo van.
• Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
• The owner-operator and their drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and their drivers must speak, understand, and read basic English.
• Have at least six months of driving experience.
• Sprinter vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.
• All vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE, and all decals must be removed.
• Provide the vehicle's registration and insurance.
• Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.

Nice To Haves

• Russian language ability.
• Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials, which are noted as factors affecting potential earnings.

Responsibilities

• Operate as an owner-operator under a written independent contractor agreement.
