Owner Operator - Sprinter/Cargo Van

About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring owner-operators with a Sprinter or cargo van under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, personalized load options based on driver preferences, and dispatchers with at least four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates may be negotiated with dispatchers. Rates listed are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for Sprinters on long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile for Sprinters in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated workday range is Monday–Friday. The company does not hire company drivers.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or cargo van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
The owner-operator and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinter vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.
Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
Remove all decals from the vehicle.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance.

Responsibilities

Operate as an owner-operator under a written independent contractor agreement.
Use a personally owned Sprinter or cargo van to accept and complete loads offered by the company.
Register with and receive approval from VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting company loads.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance documents.
Inform the company before putting the vehicle on the road if making changes to it.
