About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring owner-operators with a Sprinter or Cargo Van under a written independent contractor agreement. The company does not hire company drivers. It offers access to a large number of loads, experienced dispatchers, negotiable and competitive rates, and loads personalized to the owner-operator’s preferences. Rates listed are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for Sprinters traveling long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated work days are Monday–Friday. Minimum average monthly earnings are $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and Hazmat or TSA/TWIC credentials.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
• Be a US citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
• The owner-operator and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
• At least 6 months of driving experience.
• Sprinters must be no older than model year 2016.
• Vehicles must have at least 4 straps and PPE.
• Remove all decals from the vehicle.
• Submit vehicle registration and insurance.
• All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.

Nice To Haves

• Russian language ability.
• Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials may affect earnings.

Responsibilities

• Operate as an owner-operator under a written independent contractor agreement.
• Provide and operate a personally owned Sprinter or Cargo Van.
• Work with dispatchers to select preferred loads and accept loads offered by the company.
• Ensure all drivers are approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
• Inform the company of vehicle changes before putting the vehicle on the road.
• Provide the vehicle’s registration and insurance.
