About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and cargo van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company does not hire company drivers. Owner-operators must provide their own qualifying vehicle and may negotiate rates with dispatchers. The company offers access to a large number of loads, experienced dispatchers, and loads personalized to the operator’s preferences.

Advertised Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas and $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas. Canada Sprinter rates are $1.25–$1.55 per mile. Payment is made in 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated work days are Monday through Friday. Minimum average monthly earnings are stated as $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and Hazmat certificate and TSA/TWIC qualifications.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or cargo van.
• Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
• You and your drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• You and your drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
• Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
• Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
• A Sprinter must be no older than model year 2016.
• Vehicles must have at least 4 straps and PPE.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide and operate your own Sprinter or cargo van.
• Complete loads accepted from VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER after driver approval, acceptance, and registration.
• Tell the company about vehicle changes before putting the vehicle on the road.
• Send the vehicle’s registration and insurance documents.
• Remove all decals from the vehicle.
