About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring owner-operators with a Sprinter or cargo van under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, personalized load selection based on driver preferences, and dispatchers with more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates may be negotiated with dispatchers. Advertised Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas and $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas; Canada rates are $1.25–$1.55 per mile. Payment is made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers; applicants are applying as owner-operators.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or cargo van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinter vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.
Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
Remove all decals from the vehicle.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance.

Nice To Haves

Russian language ability; the company also hires Russian speakers.
A Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials may affect earning potential.

Responsibilities

Provide and operate your own Sprinter or cargo van as an owner-operator.
Complete registration and approval with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting company loads.
Submit vehicle registration and insurance.
Inform the company before putting the vehicle on the road if making changes to it.
Work with dispatchers to identify preferred load types and accept suitable loads.
