About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring owner-operators with a Sprinter or cargo van under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, personalized load selection based on the operator’s preferences, and dispatchers with at least four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates are negotiable with dispatchers. Listed rates for Sprinters are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated days range is Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers. Minimum average monthly salary is stated as $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and Hazmat or TSA/TWIC qualifications.

Requirements

• Own a Sprinter or cargo van.
• Be a US citizen, resident, green card holder, or work authorization holder.
• The owner-operator and their drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and their drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
• At least six months of driving experience.
• Sprinter vehicles must be no older than 2016.
• Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
• Remove all vehicle decals.
• Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
• All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.

Nice To Haves

• Russian language ability; Russian speakers are also hired.
• Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC qualification may affect the stated average monthly earnings.

Responsibilities

• Operate as an owner-operator under a written independent contractor agreement.
