About The Position
Griswold Care in Saint Paul is hiring a part-time Caregiver to provide non-medical care and companionship to seniors in their homes. The role helps clients live as fully and independently as possible while maintaining their dignity. Care may include supporting clients with daily tasks and personal hygiene, and providing companionship to clients with dementia or cognitive impairments. Client schedules vary, with care ranging from four hours to 24-hour care. Hours are flexible and may include day or night shifts; schedules may change based on client needs, care plan adjustments, and staffing requirements. Caregivers may assist with laundry, grocery shopping, meal preparation, bathing, and feeding. They complete documentation for each shift, submit timely updates, and routinely communicate with the office about clients’ conditions and needs. The employer offers pay of $19–$22 per hour depending on experience, daily or weekly paydays, paid orientation and training, and opportunities for ongoing training, development, and advancement.
Requirements
- Reliable transportation.
- Current driver’s license and auto insurance.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Two or more years of home care experience is a plus; caring for a loved one counts.
- Willingness to complete training; the employer is willing to train.
- Compassionate, positive, punctual, and dependable approach to working with seniors.
