About The Position
Griswold Care for the Greater Twin Cities is hiring a part-time Caregiver around Circle Pines. The role provides non-medical elderly care and companionship, helping seniors live as fully and independently as possible in their homes. Schedules are flexible and may include day or night shifts. Clients may need as little as four hours of care or up to 24-hour care, and hours may change based on client needs, care plan adjustments, and staffing requirements. Caregivers support clients with household and daily-living tasks while maintaining their dignity, safety, and comfort. The position may involve assisting clients with dementia or cognitive impairments and requires completing shift documentation and routinely communicating client conditions and needs to the office. Griswold provides and refers professional caregivers through a network of more than 200 locations across 31 states. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
- Must be exceptionally punctual and dependable for scheduled shifts.
- Must pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- Previous caregiving or home care experience is a plus, though the employer is willing to train the right candidate.
- Personality, reliability, and the ability to build trust with clients are especially important.
Responsibilities
- Provide non-medical elderly care and home companionship.
- Help clients with laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
- Assist clients with personal hygiene and daily tasks such as bathing and feeding, while respecting their dignity.
- Provide patient companionship to clients with dementia or cognitive impairments.
- Complete documentation for each shift and submit timely updates.
- Communicate routinely with the office about clients’ conditions and needs.
