About The Position

TheKey is hiring caregivers to provide one-to-one, in-home support to aging adults. Caregivers assist clients with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. The role offers pay rates up to $19.50 per hour, with starting rates of $17.50 per hour, and is available for full-time and part-time schedules across all shifts. Caregivers may begin working within 3–5 days after orientation if qualified. TheKey describes itself as North America’s largest provider of private-pay in-home care for aging seniors. Its local teams support caregivers as they help clients maintain quality of life. Applicants must meet California registration and background-screening requirements, be eligible to work in the United States, and satisfy the other stated qualifications. Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
HCA Registration with the State of California; TheKey can help obtain registration upon hire.
Meet state background requirements and comply with applicable background-screening requirements.
Be eligible to work in the United States.
Have a valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
Have TB clearance or a chest X-ray.
Provide timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification as a condition of employment in accordance with the stated California requirements; a conviction for a non-exemptible crime may result in rescission of a conditional offer.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Provide light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments, run errands, and shop for groceries.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, or other activities.
