About The Position

ComForCare of Midlands is hiring caregivers to support seniors and adults with disabilities who live independently in their homes. The role includes personal care, companionship, help with daily activities, meal preparation, errands, transportation, housekeeping, and medication reminders. Caregivers are expected to provide reliable, compassionate, high-quality care and work with limited supervision. The listing describes shifts of 10–12 hours with every other weekend included, as well as other listed schedules and availability requirements across Elgin, Northeast Columbia, Lexington, and West Columbia. The position pays $14.00 per hour and is paid weekly. The employer provides COVID-19 training and personal protective equipment. Caregivers are offered ongoing training, support in the field, and thoughtful matching with compatible clients.

Requirements

At least one year of caregiving experience.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Must pass a criminal background check.
Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and proof of insurance are required.
Ability to work with limited supervision.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, energetic, self-motivated, and well-organized.
Commitment to being present and providing quality care.
Availability for the stated schedules, including every other weekend and availability between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday through Saturday.

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and companionship, including activities.
Plan and prepare meals.
Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and incontinence care.
Run errands and provide transportation.
Provide housekeeping services.
Give medication reminders.
Provide reliable, quality care and follow written and verbal instructions.
