About The Position

TheKey is hiring experienced caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home care for aging adults in Santa Ana and surrounding Orange County areas. Caregivers support clients with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. Full-time and part-time shifts are available, and the posting advertises pay of $18.50–$22.00 per hour, weekly pay, and benefits. Qualified caregivers may often begin working within 3–5 days after orientation. Applicants must meet state background screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
HCA Registration with the State of California, including meeting state background requirements; TheKey can help candidates obtain registration upon hire.
Valid driver's license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB Clearance or Chest X-Ray.
Must comply with state background screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
Applicants must meet California fingerprint identification requirements; a conditional offer may be rescinded if the applicant has a non-exemptible conviction, in compliance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Provide light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments and assist with errands and grocery shopping.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, and other activities.
