About The Position
Caring Senior Service is hiring compassionate and experienced Caregivers, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide non-medical, one-on-one in-home care to seniors in McAllen, Pharr, Edinburg, Harlingen, and surrounding Rio Grande Valley communities. Caregivers help older adults remain safe, comfortable, healthy, and independent in their homes while building meaningful relationships with clients and their families. Flexible schedules are available for full-time, part-time, and PRN work, including day, evening, overnight, weekend, and extended shifts. Pay is $9–$12 per hour, with a bi-weekly pay schedule and Pay-On-Demand options. Client assignments depend on care needs, caregiver availability, experience, and location.
Requirements
- At least one year of professional or personal caregiving experience.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Caring, dependable, and professional attitude.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- CNA, HHA, or PCA certification is preferred but not required.
- Experience with personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs) is preferred.
- Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
- Previous experience in home care, senior care, assisted living, memory care, dementia care, hospice, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, or private-duty caregiving is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Assist clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Support walking, mobility, positioning, and transfers.
- Help with toileting and incontinence needs.
- Prepare meals and assist with eating.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Help with errands, transportation, and appointments.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' conditions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home.
- Respect clients' privacy, dignity, and independence.
- Communicate with clients, families, and office staff.
