About The Position
Caring Senior Service is hiring Caregivers, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs) to provide compassionate, non-medical, one-on-one in-home care to seniors in Amarillo, Texas, and surrounding communities. Caregivers support older adults in remaining safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes while building relationships with clients and their families. The role offers flexible scheduling, including day, evening, overnight, weekend, extended, and PRN shifts. The local office offers communication and scheduling support, ongoing caregiver training, and assistance as needed. Pay is $11.00–$13.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly, with Pay-On-Demand available.
Requirements
- At least one year of caregiving experience.
- Reliable transportation.
- Patient, compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- CNA, HHA, or PCA certification; preferred but not required.
- Experience assisting with personal care and daily living activities.
- Previous experience in home care, senior care, assisted living, memory care, dementia care, hospice, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, or private-duty caregiving.
- A valid driver's license and current auto insurance may be required.
Responsibilities
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and hygiene.
- Support walking, mobility, positioning, and transfers.
- Help with toileting and incontinence needs.
- Prepare meals and provide eating assistance.
- Give medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Assist with errands, transportation, and appointments.
- Monitor and report changes in client conditions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home.
- Protect client privacy, dignity, and independence.
- Communicate with clients, families, and office staff.
- Document care provided and report concerns promptly.
