About The Position

TheKey is hiring full-time or part-time caregivers to provide one-to-one in-home care to aging adults in San Jose and throughout Santa Clara County. Caregivers support clients’ daily activities, well-being, and quality of life. The role pays $22.00–$25.00 per hour, with all shifts currently available. Bilingual applicants and drivers are a plus.

Requirements

At least one year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
California HCA registration, including meeting state background requirements; TheKey can help with registration after hire.
Valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.
Must comply with state background screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
Applicants must undergo timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification as a condition of employment; conditional offers may be rescinded for non-exemptible convictions, subject to applicable laws.
Must be able to travel within Santa Clara County.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care, including dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments, run errands, and shop for groceries.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, and other activities.
