About The Position

TheKey is hiring a caregiver to provide one-to-one in-home care for aging adults in Santa Clara County, California. This position is for weekends only and requires travel within the county. Caregivers support clients with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. The posting lists pay of $22.00–$25.00 per hour and notes that all shifts are currently being hired for. Bilingual applicants and drivers are a plus. Applicants must meet California state background-screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States. TheKey requires timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification as a condition of employment. A conditional offer will be rescinded if an applicant has been convicted of a non-exemptible crime, in accordance with applicable state and local laws.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
California Home Care Aide (HCA) registration, including state background requirements; TheKey can help obtain registration upon hire.
Valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.
Must comply with state background-screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
Must undergo timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments and run errands, including grocery shopping.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, or other activities.
