About The Position

TheKey is hiring caregivers to provide one-to-one in-home support for aging seniors in Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach, and Pacific Grove. Caregivers help clients with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. Full-time and part-time schedules are available, with all shifts currently being hired. The position offers pay rates of $20–$22 per hour, weekly pay, and mileage reimbursement. Caregivers must meet state background-screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
California HCA registration, including meeting state background requirements; TheKey can help obtain registration upon hire.
Valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.
Must comply with state background-screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
Must meet California fingerprint identification requirements; a conditional offer will be rescinded if the applicant has a non-exemptible crime, in accordance with applicable laws.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments and assist with errands and grocery shopping.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, and other activities.
