About The Position

The Caregiver provides assistance to residents in the Memory Care Program with activities of daily living, supporting their quality of life and dignity. The role includes companionship, encouragement, restorative assistance, and participation in individual and group activities. The Caregiver also helps with mealtime service, laundry, and basic housekeeping in the memory care neighborhood, while responding promptly to resident, family, and employee concerns.

Requirements

Acceptable English proficiency to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and other employees, and respond to and communicate during emergency situations.
Basic computer skills; proficiency with Outlook, Excel, and Word is required.
Compassionate, kind, engaging, and helpful disposition.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations with limited standardization.
Ability to maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with seniors with dementia, including participating in activities.

Responsibilities

Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents.
Assist, encourage, and provide restorative interventions for Memory Care residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
Participate in and lead one-on-one and group activities.
Serve residents during mealtime.
Assist with memory care laundry and basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood.
Ensure resident, family, and employee concerns receive timely responses and follow-up.
Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.
