Caregiver - MC - Full Time & Part Time - All Shifts
About The Position
The Caregiver provides assistance to residents in the Memory Care Program with activities of daily living, supporting residents in leading a quality life while maintaining their dignity. The role includes providing companionship, assistance, encouragement, and restorative interventions to help residents remain as independent as possible. Caregivers also participate in and lead activities, assist with mealtime service and memory care laundry, and perform basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood. The position calls for timely follow-up on resident, family, and employee concerns and a positive, professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers. The stated hourly rate is $19.00.
Requirements
- Have English proficiency sufficient to perform job duties, communicate with supervisors and employees, and respond to and communicate during emergency situations.
- Have basic computer skills, with proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Be compassionate, kind, engaging, and helpful.
- Be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
- Be able to solve practical problems and handle situations with limited standardization.
- Maintain a positive and friendly demeanor toward residents and coworkers.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with seniors with dementia, including participation in activities, is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide kind, caring, and consistent companionship and support to residents.
- Assist, encourage, and provide restorative interventions to Memory Care residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility.
- Participate in and lead one-on-one and group activities.
- Serve residents during mealtime.
- Assist with memory care laundry and basic housekeeping within the memory care neighborhood.
- Respond to resident, family, and employee concerns in a timely manner and follow up to support customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, and coworkers.
