About The Position

Visiting Angels is hiring caregivers to provide non-medical home care to seniors in Norwalk, Connecticut, and nearby communities. Caregivers help clients maintain independence and may assist with daily living activities or provide companionship. The role may require travel within Norwalk and surrounding communities, including Westport, Wilton, New Canaan, Darien, Weston, Stamford, and Fairfield. Visiting Angels emphasizes treating clients with respect and dignity and seeks compassionate, reliable candidates committed to supporting seniors and their families.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• At least 6 months of caregiving experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to speak and read English.

Nice To Haves

• Dementia experience preferred.
• Certified Nurse’s Aide (CNA) or HHA certification preferred.
• Ability to work in a facility environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical assistance and companionship to seniors in their homes.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene, including bathing and dressing.
• Run household errands and provide transportation to and from appointments.
• Shop for groceries, prepare meals, and perform light housekeeping.
• Monitor medication schedules and provide reminders throughout the day.
