About The Position

TheKey is hiring caregivers to provide one-on-one in-home care to aging adults in Seaside, California, with travel to Monterey, Pacific Grove, Pebble Beach, and Carmel required. The role is available full-time or part-time, with hiring across all shifts. Pay is listed at $20–$22 per hour. TheKey provides private-pay in-home care and supports caregivers through local teams and management. Caregivers assist clients with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. The role requires professional caregiving experience, California HCA registration, background screening, TB clearance or a chest X-ray, and a valid driver's license with access to a fully insured personal vehicle. TheKey can help new hires obtain HCA registration. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States and satisfy California fingerprint identification and background-screening requirements.

Requirements

At least one year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
California HCA registration; the employer can help obtain it upon hire.
Meet state background requirements, including timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification.
Valid driver's license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or a chest X-ray.
Eligible to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Driving experience or willingness to drive; drivers are a plus.

Responsibilities

Assist clients one-on-one with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments, run errands, and go grocery shopping.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, and other activities.
