About The Position

Home Helpers Home Care is seeking a caring, compassionate Caregiver to provide services to a client in the local area. Caregivers help patients remain safely and independently in their own homes by supporting activities of daily living, personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, errands, transportation, and companionship. Prior experience is not required. The agency provides paid in-office initial training and ongoing training, flexible scheduling, and competitive compensation based on certifications and experience. Select shifts offer an additional $1 to $4 per hour. Daily Pay is available, allowing employees to receive payment the day after working. The role is with an independently owned and operated Home Helpers Home Care franchise; hiring decisions are made by the local franchisee.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable transportation.
Must pass a background check as required by state requirements.

Responsibilities

Maintain the confidentiality of patient information.
Assist with meal preparation and serving, clean meal preparation areas, and help patients eat when needed and applicable.
Provide personal care, including baths, dressing, grooming, denture care, and skin care.
Perform light housekeeping, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, taking out trash, cleaning the refrigerator, and washing and putting away dishes.
Complete laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothes; perform laundry at a laundromat if needed.
Assist with errands such as grocery shopping, picking up medical supplies or prescriptions, and visiting the post office.
Assist with activities of daily living, shopping, transportation, and telehealth visits.
Provide companionship.
Be reliable, dependable, punctual, and rarely absent from work.
