About The Position

Home Helpers Home Care is seeking a caring, compassionate Caregiver to provide services to a client in the local area. Caregivers help patients remain safely and independently in their own homes by assisting with personal care, activities of daily living, meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, errands, transportation, and companionship. Prior experience is not required. The agency provides paid in-office initial training and ongoing training. Compensation is $12.00–$18.00 per hour, based on certifications and experience, with an additional $1–$4 per hour on select shifts. A $250 sign-on bonus is available in two $125 installments, subject to working at least 20 hours per week during each applicable pay period. Daily Pay is also offered.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver's license.
Reliable transportation.
Pass a background check as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

Maintain the confidentiality of patient information.
Assist with meal preparation and serving, clean meal preparation areas, and help patients eat as needed.
Provide personal care, including baths, dressing, grooming, denture care, and skin care.
Complete housekeeping tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, taking out trash, dusting, cleaning the refrigerator, and washing and putting away dishes.
Complete laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away clothing; use a laundromat if needed.
Run errands, such as grocery shopping, picking up medical supplies or prescriptions, and going to the post office.
Assist with activities of daily living, transportation, and telehealth visits.
Provide companionship.
Be reliable, arrive on time, and maintain good attendance.
