About The Position

Preferred Care at Home of Sarasota is hiring caregivers for evening and overnight opportunities in Venice, Florida. Requirements

• Dependable, compassionate, and reliable.
• Comfortable working independently during nighttime hours.
• Previous caregiving experience is preferred; experienced caregivers and nursing students with caregiving experience are among the candidates sought.

Nice To Haves

• Previous caregiving experience.
• CNA, HHA, or PCA experience or credentials.
• Availability for evening, overnight, weeknight, and weekend night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and overnight supervision.
• Assist clients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Help clients move safely around their homes.
• Assist with nighttime bathroom routines.
• Provide fall prevention and safety monitoring.
• Offer support and reassurance to clients with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment throughout the night.
