About The Position

Preferred Care at Home of Sarasota is hiring caregivers for evening and overnight shifts in Venice, Florida. The role involves providing compassionate in-home care and companionship to seniors, helping them remain safe and comfortable in their homes. Openings are available for CNAs, HHAs, PCAs, experienced caregivers, companions and homemakers, and nursing students with caregiving experience. The company offers flexible schedules, full-time and part-time opportunities, weekly direct deposit, and virtual interviews. Caregivers may work independently during nighttime hours and support clients according to their individual needs.

Requirements

• Dependable, compassionate, and comfortable working independently during nighttime hours.
• Previous caregiving experience is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• CNA, HHA, or PCA experience or credentials.
• Caregiving experience as a nursing student.
• Availability for evening, overnight, weeknight, or weekend night shifts.
• Residence in Venice, Nokomis, Englewood, North Port, Osprey, or surrounding communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and overnight supervision.
• Assist clients with personal care and activities of daily living.
• Help clients move safely around their homes.
• Assist with nighttime bathroom routines.
• Provide fall prevention and safety monitoring.
• Offer support and reassurance to clients with Alzheimer's or dementia.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Maintain a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment throughout the night.
