About The Position

Visiting Angels is hiring compassionate and dependable caregivers to help seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Caregivers support clients with daily activities and provide companionship, comfort, and peace of mind to clients and their families. The role is open to experienced caregivers and those new to caregiving; the company provides paid orientation, training, in-field shadowing, and mentor support. Flexible scheduling is available, with 4-hour, 8-hour, and 12-hour shifts. Supportive office staff are available 24/7. New caregivers participate in a six-week mentor program, with ongoing education and career development opportunities.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must pass background checks and drug screening.
Must have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Compassionate, reliable, and trustworthy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting or incontinence care.
Provide mobility assistance and help clients with transfers.
Give medication reminders.
Transport clients to appointments and run errands with them.
Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping.
Provide companionship and emotional support.
