Full Time | Caregivers / Personal Care | Flexible Schedules
About The Position
BrightStar Care is hiring dedicated Caregivers to provide quality in-home care throughout Westside, Eastside, and Southwest Cuyahoga County. The role is for compassionate, dependable caregivers with high availability, schedule flexibility, and a willingness to travel and work across multiple locations. Caregivers help clients live safely and comfortably at home while following individualized care plans and agency policies. The position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week. Morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts are available. Caregivers must be available for on-call assignments as needed, have high availability for multiple client assignments and open shifts, and be flexible to work weekdays, weekends, and varying shifts based on client needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of caregiving, home care, assisted living, or direct care experience is preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with client mobility, as required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow client care plans.
- Commitment to client privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance.
- High availability and flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, varying shifts, and on-call assignments as needed.
- Willingness to travel and work throughout Westside, Eastside, and Southwest Cuyahoga County.
Nice To Haves
- HHA, STNA, CNA, or Nursing Assistant training preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation support.
- Prepare meals and provide medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Assist clients with errands, appointments, and community activities when needed.
- Observe and report changes in clients’ conditions to the appropriate care team.
- Follow individualized care plans and agency policies.
