About The Position
Visiting Angels is seeking dependable, compassionate Caregivers to provide companionship and hands-on assistance to clients in their homes. Caregivers help clients with personal care, daily living activities, meals, household tasks, medication reminders, errands, and transportation. Full-time and part-time opportunities are listed, with day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts available.
Requirements
- Professional or personal caregiving experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Compassionate, patient, reliable, and professional demeanor.
- Genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Active automobile insurance required.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Comfort using a smartphone for clock-in/out and documentation.
Nice To Haves
- Dementia/Alzheimer's experience is a plus.
- CNA/LNA certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
- Offer companionship and conversation.
- Prepare meals and assist clients with meals.
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Shop for groceries and run errands.
- Transport clients to appointments.
- Assist with activities of daily living.
