About The Position

TheKey is hiring caregivers to provide one-to-one in-home care for aging adults in Santa Clara County, California. Caregivers support clients with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. The role is available full time or part time, with all shifts currently being hired. Candidates must be able to travel within Santa Clara County. TheKey describes itself as a provider of private-pay in-home care for aging seniors in North America. It offers caregiver support, paid training, and career development opportunities. Applicants must meet state background-screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States. In California, fingerprint identification is required as a condition of employment; conditional offers may be rescinded for non-exemptible convictions, consistent with applicable laws.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
California HCA registration, including meeting state background requirements; TheKey can help the employee obtain registration after hire.
Valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.
Must comply with state background-screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
Must complete timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification as a condition of employment in California.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Perform basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing in clients’ homes.
Drive clients to appointments and run errands, including grocery shopping.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through activities such as games and puzzles.
