About The Position

TheKey is hiring a Caregiver to provide one-to-one in-home care for aging adults in Santa Clara County, California. Caregivers assist clients with personal care, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship. The role is available full time or part time, with all shifts currently hiring, and requires travel within Santa Clara County. Pay is $22.00–$25.00 per hour. TheKey describes itself as a provider of private-pay in-home care for aging seniors and offers caregivers local team support, training, and career development opportunities. Applicants must meet California background-screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States. The company requires timely and accurate positive fingerprint identification as a condition of employment; a conditional offer will be rescinded if an applicant has a non-exemptible conviction, in compliance with applicable laws.

Requirements

At least one year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
California HCA registration, or willingness to obtain it upon hire, and ability to meet state background requirements.
Valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.
Must be eligible to work in the United States.
Must comply with state background-screening requirements and provide timely, accurate positive fingerprint identification as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

Assist clients one-to-one with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments, run errands, and shop for groceries.
Provide companionship and social and emotional support through games, puzzles, and other activities.
