About The Position

TheKey is hiring caregivers to provide one-to-one in-home support to aging adults in Santa Clara County. Caregivers assist clients with personal care, household tasks, transportation, and companionship. Applicants must be able to travel within Santa Clara County. The role is offered full-time or part-time, with all shifts currently available, and pays $22.00–$25.00 per hour. TheKey describes itself as a provider of private-pay in-home care for aging seniors and offers caregiver support from local teams. Caregivers must meet state background-screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States. In California, positive fingerprint identification is required as a condition of employment; a conditional offer will be rescinded if the applicant has a non-exemptible conviction, in accordance with applicable law.

Requirements

At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.
At least 18 years of age.
California HCA Registration; TheKey can help the employee obtain it upon hire, subject to state background requirements.
Valid driver’s license and access to a fully insured personal vehicle.
TB clearance or chest X-ray.
Must comply with state background-screening requirements and be eligible to work in the United States.
Must meet California fingerprint-identification and background requirements.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with dressing, bathing, grooming, and meals.
Perform light housekeeping, including basic cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Drive clients to appointments, run errands, and shop for groceries.
Provide companionship through games, puzzles, and other activities that offer social and emotional support.
