Caregiver (Weekends) - Senior Living Community
About The Position
Suite Living Senior Care is hiring weekend Caregivers at its Spring Lake Park assisted living and memory care community. Caregivers provide person-centered support directly to residents, helping them with daily activities, mobility, medication administration, and meaningful engagement. The role is open to experienced or newly certified caregivers; medication training is provided. Part-time and full-time shifts are available, and all caregivers must be available to work every other weekend. New team members complete four days of paid onboarding training, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Arden Hills, Minnesota training center. Ongoing support and development are provided by experienced leadership.
Requirements
- At least 6 months of caregiving experience; assisted living or memory care experience is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to pass medications.
- Be a team player with excellent communication, empathy, and reliability.
- Must be available to work every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- CNA certification is preferred but not required.
- CPR/First Aid knowledge is preferred.
- Assisted living or memory care experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support resident mobility and transfers within the facility.
- Assist with medication administration; training is provided.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversation.
- Provide light housekeeping and meal assistance.
- Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to the leadership team.
- Respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
