Caregiver - Senior Living Community
About The Position
Suite Living Senior Care is hiring Caregivers for its new senior living facility in Chaska, providing Assisted Living and Memory Care. Caregivers work directly with residents to provide personalized, person-centered care and support. Applicants may be experienced or newly certified; paid onboarding training is provided, along with ongoing support and development from experienced leadership. New team members complete four days of onboarding, Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Arden Hills, Minnesota training center. Part-time and full-time schedules are available across AM, PM, and overnight shifts.
Requirements
- At least six months of caregiving experience.
- Ability to pass medications; training is provided.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Team player with excellent communication, empathy, and reliability.
- For part-time and full-time shifts, must be available to work every other weekend.
Nice To Haves
- Caregiving experience in Assisted Living or Memory Care.
- CNA certification.
- CPR/First Aid knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Support resident mobility and transfers within the facility.
- Assist with medication administration; training is provided.
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and conversation.
- Provide light housekeeping and meal assistance.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ condition to the leadership team.
- Respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
